🌟 Why Celebrate?
Celebrating your achievements helps mark progress, build pride, and motivate continued engagement. It sends a powerful message: our efforts to build a democratic school culture matter.
🎉 What Can Celebration Look Like?
There’s no single way to celebrate! Choose what works for your school:
-
Democracy Celebration Day
-
Organise a special event where students share reflections, art, or performances related to your democratic journey
-
-
Sticker or Certificate Ceremony
-
Distribute participation stickers or coACTION certificates to classes or groups
-
-
Display of Progress
-
Set up a “Democracy Wall” showing Sensor results and student voices
-
-
Student-led Celebration
-
Let pupils plan and lead how to celebrate — music, speeches, exhibitions
-
-
Newsletter or Website Feature
-
Share your achievements publicly with the wider school community
-
-
Simple Classroom Moments
-
Even small things — like a “democracy circle” of shared reflections — count!
-
✅ coACTION Sticker – Seal of Democratic Participation
As part of this session, your school can receive the coACTION participation sticker, a symbol of your commitment to democratic development.
Ask your programme coordinator for the digital or physical sticker file to print and display in a visible place (e.g. school entrance, main office, website).
💡 Optional Prompt (Forum or Journal)
How did you choose to celebrate your democratic achievements? What did your pupils say about it?
You can respond as a project group, teacher, or even have students contribute.
