    • Time for an Initial Review
What has happened during our ‘Year of Democracy’?

In this final step, you are invited to reflect on your school’s journey towards democracy. You will use the coACTION Sensor once again to assess your progress, share your findings and celebrate your achievements with the whole school community.

    • Key Areas of this Module

By completing this module, your school will:

      • Reapply the coACTION Sensor (as in Module 2)

      • Compare your new results with those from the beginning of the school year

      • Evaluate how far you’ve come toward your goals

      • Involve the entire school community in discussing the results

      • Celebrate your democratic achievements

      • Receive coaching to reflect and plan for future development

      • Be awarded a coACTION sticker for active participation

    • Preparation

When Should You Carry Out this Module?
Your school can choose the most suitable time to carry out this module. Many schools do it once a year, for example, every September. If your school uses the Sensor continuously, you may pick any appropriate moment during the year to check in on your progress.

      What You’ll Need
Before you begin, make sure you have access to:

      • Your previous Sensor results
      • A valid access code (contact your programme coordinator if needed)
      • Your school project group to evaluate the results
      • Plans or ideas for communicating outcomes and celebrating together

      mportant Questions

Do we need a new access code?
Most schools will receive a new annual access code to use the Sensor again. This helps the system organise and compare data correctly. Please check with your coACTION coordinator to confirm.

Can we compare this year’s results with the last?
Yes! The system allows for a deviation analysis — this means you’ll be able to view side-by-side results from this year and last, so you can track your school’s democratic growth over time.

      Reflective Prompt (Optional)
If your school wants to start with reflection, use this question as a prompt for discussion or journaling:

What do you hope to discover by repeating the Sensor this year? What signs of change have you already noticed in your school?

    • This session guides your school in reapplying the coACTION Sensor to assess democratic development. You’ll find practical steps, access information, and key reminders.

    • This session supports your school in recognising and celebrating the democratic progress you’ve made together. Choose a celebration style that fits your community!

    • Summary

Closing the circle does not mean that the journey is over. Rather, it marks a transition – from a period of targeted development to a new phase of consolidation, maintenance and further development.

Whether you decide to continue focusing on democracy in the coming year and use the coACTION Sensor results to define new goals, or simply to maintain best practices:

Your school has already demonstrated its commitment to a more democratic culture.

Together, you have taken important steps! Now take a moment to celebrate these achievements – together.
