    • A solid foundation is the key to success!

In this module, we will show you the key steps your school needs to take to develop into a more democratic learning environment.

    • Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:

      • Secure commitment from school leadership for the coACTION project.

      • Form an effective coACTION team, identifying both the project leader and core team members.

      • Successfully plan and conduct the project's Kick-off Meeting.

      • Communicate essential project information to the whole school community.

    • Once you have worked through the content of this chapter, we invite you to consolidate your understanding and build on what you have learnt. The following exercises and questions provide an opportunity for self-reflection and will help you to actively apply your knowledge.

    • Imagine you are launching the coACTION project at your school.

Your task is to write a formal letter inviting stakeholders (e.g., community representatives, local authorities, NGOs) to participate in the project.

✅ Keep it brief (max. 250 words)
      ✅ Use clear, professional language
✅ Mention the goals of coACTION and how they can be involved

📌 Post your letter as a new discussion topic.
💬 Read at least one colleague's entry and leave a brief, constructive comment.

    • Draft an initial information letter about the coACTION project for the entire school community (teaching staff, pupils and parents).

The letter should describe the project’s objectives in short, clear terms, explain why your school is taking part in the project, and outline how the project will be run during the coming school year (max. 150 words).

You can post your proposal on the Padlet below.

    • In Brief

This initial project phase is about building understanding, trust, and commitment across the entire school community. By following these steps, your school will create a solid foundation for successfully introducing and embedding democratic practices.
