    • Welcome to the first module of our Guide to Democratic Empowerment!

In this module we will guide you through the essential steps your school needs to take when embarking on the journey to become a more democratic learning environment.

    • Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:

      • Secure commitment from school leadership for the coACTION project.

      • Form an effective coACTION team, identifying both the project leader and core team members.

      • Successfully plan and conduct the project's Kick-off Meeting.

      • Communicate essential project information to the whole school community.

    • Time for Reflection and Deepening

Now that you've worked through the content of this chapter, we invite you to solidify your understanding and deepen what you've learned. The following tasks and questions offer you an opportunity for self-reflection and will help you actively apply your knowledge.

    • Imagine you are launching the coACTION project at your school.

Your task is to write a formal letter inviting stakeholders (e.g., community representatives, local authorities, NGOs) to participate in the project.

✅ Keep it brief (max. 250 words)
      ✅ Use clear, professional language
✅ Mention the goals of coACTION and how they can be involved

📌 Post your letter as a new discussion topic.
💬 Read at least one colleague's entry and leave a brief, constructive comment.

    • In Brief

This initial project phase is about building understanding, trust, and commitment across the entire school community. By following these steps, your school will create a solid foundation for successfully introducing and embedding democratic practices.
